One person was killed and five people were injured after a weather-related single-vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 30 and Rosedale in Fort Worth Sunday night.
A 2003 Dodge four-door pickup carrying nine people was traveling east in the center-left lane of Interstate 30 near the Rosedale exit about 8:45 p.m. when it hit standing water and spun out of control.
It flipped over a guardrail several times, traveling about 200 feet before crashing to the ground, Fort Worth police spokesman Pedro Criado said.
The left rear passenger in the truck died and has not been positively identified, Criado said.
The driver, identified as a 17-year-old female, will possibly face intoxication manslaughter charges, Criado said.
Three of the nine in the vehicle at the time fled after the crash, Criado said.
Ambulances transported five people to the hospital, three with possibly life-threatening injuries and two with minor injuries, MedStar spokesman John Farris said.
